Virtual Counselling / Psychology / Mental Health
Momentum’s counselling model aligns with the research that a single-session of counselling may be sufficient for many clients. Our counsellors hold the belief that for many clients, one purposeful session of counselling may be enough for people to make momentum towards change, and structure the session accordingly. The counselling team at Momentum provides counselling from a solution-focused approach that holds that belief that clients are experts in their own lives. This model inherently builds resilience through the focus on identifying and building on client’s existing strengths, skills, knowledge and values to help them move forward. The counsellors ask questions and collaboratively set and achieve goals with clients. Clients leave with written documentation of their strengths, as well as suggestions and reflections to continue to do the work on their own or connect with other community resources. The FEE for the session is based on our sliding fee scale ($40-200).
